Levanzo, a jewel enclosed in little more than 5 km2, reveals itself as the smallest pearl among the Egadi Islands.
Its beating heart is the picturesque harbor, embraced by the only village inhabited by just under 300 inhabitants. On this island, where life flows at the slow pace of the sea and the world is discovered on foot, along the short asphalt road leading to the Faraglione or
along the paths that lead to the lighthouse at Capo Grosso or to Cala Minnola.
Levanzo stands out for 1 of its hidden treasures: 1 prehistoric grant in the impressive Grotta del Genovese and the crystal-clear waters that surround it. Although many visit it on a short excursion from Trapani or Favignana, our advice is to stay for at least four or five nights. Only in this way can you explore it unhurriedly, savoring the timeless dimension that this Egadi pearl offers to those who know how to seize it.
A little tidbit of gossip reveals that on this island overlooking Favignana, there is only one villa, Casa Florio, the former home of the renowned family of Sicilian entrepreneurs (originally from Calabria).
Today, this precious property belongs to none other than Miuccia Prada, the Egadi enthusiast, who has chosen this corner of paradise as her refuge.
